Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

The Last Wave from Peter Weir.

This may be for me though because I saw it accidentally at the Harvard Square Theater upon its initial release back in 1979 when skipping school with a friend. We went to Harvard Square in search of certain chemical elements we'd read about in our High School Library. The whole mood of the film seems to draw one up and away from the mundane planes which is always to be desired. The Man Who Fell To Earth is also another such film which was an early life discovery and imprinted with the aid of chemicals in a unique setting. A friend worked for the local Public Broadcasting Corporation as a Video technician and had a key to a studio. He brought me there occasionally on weekends to watch movies such as the above Nick Roeg film,2001:A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange and the memorable 'Alice in Wonderland' the X version, a minor classic.
