The Blu-Ray edition I have (Masters of Cinema) does not have the alternate ending, however, it comes with a booklet with the alternate ending screenplay extract, so at least we know what was originally shot.
The booklet also suggests that the alternate ending film elements do exist, although they are buried in Paramount's archives. Some day they may be found. Here's hoping...
