Polarizing. Definitely. But I would not insult him by comparing him to the Drugster.

On a personal note, I met him in Denver at the Tattered Cover and I wanted to get his new book signed as a gift to a brother.

Once I got up to the table, I absolutely froze (I never imagined I would be star struck by someone who really isn't what one would call a star)

I just stood there like an idiot. Moore quickly realized and started the conversation, "So how's it going?" and then I could talk.

We had a nice little chat about my big brother. Also, he had a very light grasp, but sincere hand shake (you know sincerity when you feel it). And he really looks at you in the eyes when he shakes your hand. He also was pretty softly spoken.

Unusual I thought, considering I was just one of a couple hundred in line. I found him to be cordial, likable and humorous.
