RE: Extending a Digital antenna

I had to do the same thing, move my "HD antenna" (I hate that they call them such things, I'm totally with Jack there) clear across the room from the TV, plus wanted to "hide" the coax. You do not want to lose the slightest bit of any HDTV signal, what with it being essentially go/no-go, the latter being far more annoying than a fringe "analog" broadcast ever was.

You are far better to go with extending the coax run, rather than introducing more RF "junk" into the room. I suggest a small (inexpensive) distribution amplifier. PCT-MA2-M is what I use, had it for years, it's a well-regarded unit in the "video community", under $25 at amazon.
