RE: Blu-ray DVD problem

It's common for DVD/Blu-Ray players to have two lens, one red and one blue for Blu-Ray. I have an older Samsung that started getting picky and die on chapter or layer changes. The same DVDs would work fine on my old Oppo player.

Anyway, it was a good excuse too buy a new Oppo 4K player before they quit making them. Strangely, the Samsung plays perfectly with Blu-Ray discs. We'd upgraded our NetFlix for Blu-Ray.

You might try one of those cleaning discs which never did anything for me before you just buy a new player. It's probably not worth fixing even if you could source the old lens assembly.
