a 65" Pioneer Kuro. I read Pioneer got out of the tv business directly because they were so expensive to produce that the business model seriously failed. When Panasonic bought the tech from Pioneer, the same thing occurred. I read this in several sources, though I'm uncertain if it's actually the reason. At any rate, I loved the set and would still have it if not for a cross-country move and the fragile nature of the set, it's weight...
