Re: Need Help on Comparison of Pre/Pros

I have a California Audio labs system. It has great two channel that is as good as many two channel only Pre's. I also have the amp and dvd player. The system is extremely easy to use. If you push open on the dvd player, it turns on the entire system to a preset volume level and selects the proper amount of channels for each source you select on the Pre. All you have to do is hit play, and the system is on and running . It so easy to use that anyone can operate it. My wife who doesn't care much for audio gear loves the easy of operation. All she has to do is load a cd and sit down. Also the system will send audio to a second zone and with the video switcher, video as well. If you have a projector with electric screen, it can be set to automatically lower the screen when you hit dvd on the remote. You find the SSP-2500 on the internet for a little less than 4000.00 If you look at the feature list on the SSP,you will see that it is short. You don't get a lot of bells and whistles because Cal invested in the sound quality first, features second.
