Well, there are 3 s-video outs, I would say that one would be a main monitor out with on screen graphics etc. The other ones would be record outs for each device. They will output whatever the current source is minus on screen display.

But, if your on VCR1 and your trying to use VCR1's s vid out of the receiver you will get nothing. That's the receivers way of avoiding video loops.

If you simply need to have the same s-video signal on a couple different display devices, use an S-video distribution amplifier. You can find these at radio shack for a cheaper one, and then Kramer Electronics is the next step up, and if your all out, go for Extron.
