'Traitors': Post war tradecraft . . .

Posted by Billy Wonka on April 21, 2019 at 18:27:58:

Feef Symonds (Emma Appleton) was recruited into spying on her own government by her married lover in the OSA office. Soon she has a new handler named Rowe (Stuhlbarg) who turns out to be a real piece of work that will stop at nothing including intimidation, blackmail, and murder. Feef's life is not made easy by her handlers exhorting her to find the Russian spy in Whitehall. She takes a young, liberal MP (Treadaway) as a lover despite him being married. As things progress, she's onto a department head, Garrick (Keely Hawes), who is the suspected spy.

This six-episode season manages to do a lot of damage to Feef and those around her. Near the end, an agent "grabs her by the P####" much to her horror. (Funny how TDS stretches across the pond.)

There is a lot going on for all the characters on board.

4.0 wonks for casting and story despite a slow beginning

2.0 wanks for a depressing London and a wrap it up finish
