You assume I know what you are talking about, I don't.

You speak both of Hollywood and netflics, and I don't know if the material is a theatrical release and you saw in a video format or made for video, and viewed in that format. To me , that point is worth knowing, since the two formats require different approaches to story telling. Obviously, something shot for video will be more effective in that format.

All I know is you thought it better than another film, you don't think much of Hollywood, mention an unknown formula, romantic comedy, action hero, buddy film, fish out of water, which one, you don't say, but this is something else, what? And better than other contemptuous formulaic material you view.

I get the impression you liked the movie, but everything was cast against a personal negative, detracting somewhat from the subject.

As it is, I am not inclined to see the thing, not following the talent as you do, I have no reason to be a fan from reading your review.

I am sure she is talented if you say so, but some genres appeal to me more than others, since you mentioned this is formula with a twist.

A weak film noir , sci fi, might get me to go, while a weak musical , or shoot em up movie, has less appeal.

I do thank you for the recommendation, but I wanted more substance. All I really know about the work is you like the multi talented lead actor , and you liked it better than the latest adam sandler attempt.

Says about as much as, " I like chewing corn on the cob better than dog poop," I wanted more info about the corn, why I should go get some. I like to know a little about the possibilities for enjoyment, since I don't know the taste of most reviewers.
