'The Endless': You can never go home again . . .

Posted by Billy Wonka on October 2, 2019 at 18:04:51:

Two brothers barely escaped a "death cult" their parents raised them up in. Now, they had typically boring lives until they received an ancient videotape from the commune they escaped from. The younger brother is inexplicably drawn to revisit and the older brother fights but gives in.

Their arrival is met with a lukewarm reception and what was intended as a one night stay suddenly became longer. Oddly, NF boasted it as "critically acclaimed". Well, it wasn't because of the acting, production budget, or dialog but it was greater than the sum of its parts due to the imaginative story created. If you enjoy homegrown alternate-universes you will like this one.
