Harley Quinn: The Animated Series

Posted by RGA on May 26, 2020 at 17:55:25:

So the movie was mediocre but I wound up watching the Animated Series staring Kaley Cuoco (Penny: the Big Bang Theory) which is Rated R for gory violence and language. This one is not for kids.

Anyway, Season 1 was a hoot. I am not a fan of comics in particular but I liked that they took a bunch of B grade characters and elevated it. Or threw it all in the gutter as the case may be. The voice acting is generally terrific and the character of Bane - I start laughing as soon as I hear the guy speak. He reminds me of Milton from the movie Office Space if Milton was a muscular super villain.

Who knew Poison Ivy's had the plant from Little Shop of Horrors as her pet. It seems that way anyway.

So no you won't like it if cartoon violence puts you off or you don't like the F word. If you liked Deadpool and Deadpool 2 this you will probably find enjoyable.

They are only 22-23 minutes and 13 episodes in season 1.
