'The Death of Stalin'?

Posted by Billy Wonka on July 3, 2018 at 14:48:29:

Just saw this and had my chuckles. I'm not sure how closely this illustrated the fear and political correctness of their system at the time but it was fun. Thought Buscemi was a stretch for Khrushchev but absolutely loved Isaac's flamboyant, over-the-top, cape slinging Zhukov. Yeah, it's a satire, parody. In bonus material, the director told everyone this was not a comedy and to play it straight. The script is so good that it pulled out the performances they were seeking.

Not serious history, of course, but kind of fun.
