blu-ray audio
Posted by striperman on July 22, 2017 at 13:28:35:
I'm using a desktop to an idsd usb dac to amplifier. I'm seeking high quality audiophile sound for bluray movies. I was considering a cheap Blu-ray player run to my idsd dac but the output would not be lossless since bluray players only pass lossless through analog or HDMI. I am decoding the bluray audio with the decoders in mpc hc and using anydvd hd to decrypt the blurays, and also ripping some to mkv format. My question is am I transmitting lossless audio when playing the decoded pcm track through a usb dac? thank you.
