Marantz and Denon

Posted by Ross on May 1, 2021 at 12:37:30:

Are from the same parent company. Many features and most technology is shared between the 2 brands.

Both are good, but Marantz is better.

Marantz models often use higher quality parts vs a Denon counterpart, and have slightly more refined voice. Marantz sells separate pre-processors and separate amps along with integrated HT receivers. The technology of their separate processors is used in their top of range receivers.

I am on my 2nd Marantz HT receiver (and 3rd component overall in 20+yrs) and could not be happier.

My advice is get the best you can afford. If you can purchase their TOTL receiver you will be set for many years. In my case my next upgrade will to to separate Marantz pre/processor + amp.
