"Deadwood" -- a cameo finale on HBO

Posted by free.ranger on June 1, 2019 at 16:23:26:

I haven't seen one of the original 36 episodes that ran for 3 years, ending a decade ago. But two of the original actors, Timothy Oliphant and Ian McShane were interviewed about being brought back for a movie finale that starts like there was a real ten year hiatus in their lives.

They said that it was an emotional reunion of actors for a series that was supposed to run for 4 years, but was abruptly whacked at 3. Some of those whose characters were killed off in the series showed up on set to partake of the festivities.

Said to be one of the better HBO series, the follow-up movie is also being hyped. Time to binge-watch "Deadwood"? Can't say. All the above is from a news story. I think the movie may already be out, so check the cable listings for repeats.
