was Frasier and as an aside - Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) was slated to be Roz in Frasier. Kudrow has an IQ of 154 and a science degree (Biology) from Vassar working in research for 8 years before landing a role.
I think Pei Gilpin was perfect as Roz and Lisa Kudrow certainly played against herself.
I still rank Frasier as the best American sitcom of that era. I don't watch TV as much anymore but I did get a kick out of The Big Bang Theory and the show MOM - which has serious underpinnings of alcoholism and drug abuse but it manages to walk the line. Alison Janney should be regarded as one of the great actresses of our time - even though she's mainly on the small screen.
