There you go....

Of course, I know, and knew, what your real name is, Elliot. Stay with me here. LOL.

What was going on between jameasgarvin and me was occurring over the course of several threads and several days. Like I said, maybe you came into the theater in the dark. And it would be tiresome to explain it to you. If you want to know, review.

As with clarkjohnson, I remind you of where you are. The internet.

The greater point I was discussing with jamesgarvin had to do with that. Anyone who comes here steps into a theater, becomes a player and takes on a responsibility to inform, enlighten, to entertain. Why would anyone come here, among strangers, otherwise.

All this stuff of taking on taking on "handles", screennames, personas, and exchanging ideas is pure ego-driven, improvisatory theater. That's not to say that dishonest prevails, rather to say that one cannot depend entirely on old skills of judgement and discernment to navigate new relationship.

As in real life, you should trust yourself and your skills to commit yourself to trusting others.

So, I don't depend on you or jamesgarvin or clarkjohnson to entertain me. YOU approached me. If you insist yourself in my affairs I will entertain myself if you fail to do so.

As to displays of superiority, intelligence and so on, I'm reminded of a George Wallace story when he faced a room full of reporters. One asked him, sarcastically, if he felt he was the smartest man in the world. Wallace replied, "No, but I am sure as hell the smartest man in this room."

I love intelligence and intelligent people. Tell me you don't.

I don't think less of those who don't demonstrate intelligence. I just recognize that the differences exist and try to behave accordingly. Depending on the "room" I'm in.

Cheers.
