On the contrary, unless you call $65Mil US and $102Mil worldwide bad. That's actually very good for Oscar bait, especially for the Coens. In fact, I think this film has made significantly more than any of their previous movies. It will probably do a few more millions in the next couple weeks. But it's pretty much done in theaters, regardless.

The Coens don't make blockbusters and the studio certainly didn't expect any such thing from an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy. The Coens work with relatively modest budgets, so the movies don't have to be blockbusters to break even or make money. Of course, with the Oscar win NCFOM should do quite well in home video.
