Strangers On A Train

I watched this wonderful Hitchcock film today. My, how social norms have changed. The ending involves a police chase through an amusement park, a policeman firing carelessly into a crowd and hitting the merry-go-round operator and the out of control ride being abruptly stopped resulting in its' destruction while filled with kids. None of this is mentioned in the the film. Can you imagine that same happening without comment today?
