Up in the Air...

Posted by mkuller on December 14, 2009 at 13:46:14:

...saw this last night.

This film, starring George Clooney, is being touted as an Oscar pick with Clooney possibly nominated as Best Actor.

It's an interesting and sometimes funny film about a guy who spends 320 days a year in the air and on the road, terminating employees for various companies as a hired gun.

The three main characters are very well fleshed out and by the end, you feel as though you really know them. Clooney is excellent in what is asked of him dramatically here.

But the ending leaves you "up in the air" so perhaps it's an apropos title.

I found it well done, enjoyable and interesting, but a little unsatisfying. And I usually prefer films that leave you hanging.

I'd give it a B+.
