The Lovely Bones...

Posted by SF tech on April 18, 2011 at 16:40:40:

Finally saw this film... What a magnificent mess it is.

A beautiful example of non-linear storytelling, it veers from the mundane to the supernatural in editorial cuts that have to be seen to be believed.

Joy, horror, laughter, banality, sorrow, hope... All are presented in full measure.

A wonderful cast gets the job done. Tucci deserves whatever he got... His portrayal here is nothing short of brilliant. A blank wall that conceals everything and nothing. Saoirse Ronan's performance as Susie in the lead role is both sophisticated and naive, but filled with light and wonder.

Wahlberg and Weisz are good enough, and Sarandon is perfect.
