"I Saw the Devil:" you'll wish you

Posted by tinear on May 23, 2011 at 16:10:24:

hadn't seen this hideous film. If "Saw" and torture genre films are your cup of blood, you'll indeed, as grits advises you to, buy this piece of trash gore and like it. If, however, gratuitous dismemberment and buckets of blood, loosely linked by a really ridiculous plot, interest you... you and grits will have much to discuss.
The actor who portrays the "criminal" torturer (as opposed to the "legal" one), unfortunately, is the same highly skilled fellow that played the protagonist in the wonderful revenge film, "Oldboy." What a waste of an excellent actor; the pay day must have been too much to resist.
The only reason I'm reviewing this tripe at all is because of grits' gushing about it. It is garbage with NO redeeming qualities.
