Who is the cliffhangerest of the cliffhangers?

Oftentimes modern techniques and good equipment do not make better movies, and all that computer crap is nothing but piss poor substitute for bare knuckles.

The Mountain, a 1956 film starring Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner drives this message home like an alpine hammer. I have seen quite a few mountain climber movies, including the obligatory latest crop, and I hate to tell ya - none of them had kept my ass on the edge of my comfortable sofa like watching Tracy make his desperate reach, his bloody and frozen fingers sticking to cold iron.

A dated film, to be sure, but with some very tense moments.
