that is what shocked me! That left me a bit confused about the legend of Rodrigo's kids and their murderous ways which really weren't exploited or shown to any length. The amount of intrigue to maintain any sort of power during any time period is staggering and this clearly shows it how brutal it was. Not a good sales pitch for the Roman Church, eh?

PS. This had a $33M budget which is a LOT for a made for TV series which was more cerebral than visceral.
