Hungarians indeed have a dark streak in filmmaking; this is no exception, but that isn't to say it's depressing, anymore than Shakespearean tragedies are.
Oh, did I mention there is a spectacularly beautiful young woman who provocatively bathes?
This one is worth searching out.
