RE: Red Army Documentary...USSR Hockey...has anybody seen this?

Posted by Victor Khomenko on November 23, 2014 at 15:57:20:

Like most guys growing up in the USSR, I liked watching the hockey, but that love since then has dissipated. When the US team beat the Soviets, I was upset, but that was long ago, and now I am firmly on the other side - I am so happy our boys showed them russkies.

A couple of things about this film, based purely on the trailer - one: what's the deal with the name Slava (Fetisov). No one would call an adult that way, his name is Viacheslav.

And two - as soon as I saw the face of Vladimir Posner there, I rushed for the bucket - that communist scum would simply not go away.

I think I will watch it when it hits the Netflix, but I don't expect any revelations there.
