RE: SF Paper review...

And I disagree. I have read the books (with my son to help his reading and comprehension) and most of the crap is in the books. Katniss is a strange and difficult protagonist. However, the movie is very true to the book and I thought they chose the scenes they used very well. It is a very straight forward rendering of the book and no nonsense. The acting and actors are good.

If you don't like the story, fine. I get it. But don't blame the movie it is the source material you don't like.

I personally feel that the adaptation of this series has been excellent unlike say most of the Harry Potter movies which pulled the sting out of a lot of more grown up storylines.

And by the way, Interstellar (as much of a fan as I was of Inception, Batman Begins and Memento) is a much worse movie than this one.
