Let's see...

Interstellar...had to see it twice because I could NOT hear the dialog at the XD Theater...granted it shook my molars loose...but I had to real lips...

American Sniper, (aka Natural Born Killer) saw that in Dolby Atmos, very cool and totally immersive sound scape...(it did win two Oscar's for sound)...But I did not see this because of Atmos...Plan on seeing Tomorrowland in Atmos...(I only know one theater here in the Twin Cities with Atmos)

Birdman...LOVED the sound of trap drum set and how they moved it around the room...no Dolby needed here...

When I did have a HT...I much preferred DTS over Dolby or THX...right now I am strictly 2 channel and my Maggies do a pretty good job throwing sound around my room...to the point my friends were looking for surround speakers...

Yes...it will take more than great sound to get me to a movie...I agree let's work on the content and let the sound and picture enhance a good story with flushed out characters...what a novel idea...
Thanks
Mark
