Remember Mc Carthy? No we were too young. But we heard about the witch hunting back the 1950. We also heard of the courage or not of some actors, some screen writers, some politicians ( not much )

For the film buff an absolute must.

And a picture with magnificent actors, the feeling of the time, and a camera using colors with love, it is much more than a reportage, it is a piece of history, a time where being a communist, an ideally one, loving his fellow " Mensch " was a crime.

There was a kind of innocence not knowing the horror of the Stalin and Co, it was the time which we did not had all those informations like today instantly. They were mostly good men. And women. Edna ( Mirren ) was a bitch but we knew that...

Watch it.
