"Life" the movie - panned by most...

Posted by Dr Phibes on June 11, 2017 at 02:40:57:

The reviews of "Life" were horrible, some even angry. Since it was Sci-Fi with an "Alien" premise I rented it despite the heckling.

To me - "Life" was an excellent Sci-Fi/Horror film. Sure, it had the basic premise of "Alien" but what's wrong with that? The scientist/astronauts were depicted as intellectuals (instead of Rambo-types or as fearfully un-curious) who struggled philosophically with killing a new life form- with out the usual dark corporate manipulation. Eventually everything goes wrong, but not because someone was just being dumb. The acting was first-rate and the ending was surprising and chilling. Pretty good CGI too.

"Life"? Not a great name for a movie...
