The new batman cartoon, a review

Glad you clicked in, shows you are not an animation as great film snob. I'll cut the BS.

Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner!!!

Better than the incredibles II , to stick within the animation field , but this film stands on it's own in quality, yet accomplishes it's goals in highly inventive ways. Much like deadpool II, you never know what's coming. Very unlike some other superhero movies.

As a matter of fact this story is a fish out of water tale more than a tale of super deeds, yet super deeds are done in the end. I hope that doesn't spoil the superhero ending for anyone. This film does hit all the superhero bases, save for superhero women with an aversion to clothes.

I would suggest attending a 3d showing, I didn't. the film has a lot of distinctive visuals, with a few scenes where the central figures are in focus, but the rest looks like three D without the glasses. It distracted me, trying to figure if it was a cheap conversion to 2d, or a deliberate effect, for the film is very inventive in it's visuals, comic book style, where innovation is prized.

I know most are converted into 3D from 2D, but a few scenes look to be the other way around. Might be contrived as a visual puzzle, it's got me thinking .

So to sum up, great wit, up there with the best cartoons, with inventiveness to set this apart from the crowd. Could be a classic, it is certainly a stand out if you are looking for this type of entertainment.

I would advise to see it before it gets blown off the screen by the holiday product. Between this and aquaman, which i was planning on seeing, this is the one to see this weekend.
