"Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads"

Posted by Victor Khomenko on December 28, 2018 at 06:53:26:

Very difficult film to watch, but a must for any decent human being.

It deals with the portion of Holocaust that took place on the occupied soviet territories.

The most gruesome part of the film is in its ending. After millions were slaughtered, life returned to its "normal". A handful was executed, many others went free after just a few years, and most murderers became respectful citizens of Germany. They openly discuss their actions. "We shot the mothers first. We then killed the kids, otherwise they would have suffocated under the weight of dead bodies on top of them". "I tried to shoot accurately, so she would not suffer". (Paraphrasing from memory)

No matter how much you know, films like that are bound to shake your stable foundation.
