RE: Green Book criticisms...

Posted by RGA on January 15, 2019 at 19:16:55:

The criticism should contain itself to the film (have not seen it) and not the surrounding aspects.

I am not quite sure I understand a lot of the folks who read in SJW to virtually every single film or TV show that has come out over the last decade.

If you make a film or TV show about Rosa Parks say as a historical piece you will automatically be called a SJW because you DARED to make a white man seem like a meanie! Huh - white people were absolutely HORRIBLE at that time (they're not a helluva lot better now) so how is that being an SJW?

Social Justice is advocating for justice in a society - so umm exactly how has that become some sort of evil thing?

Now maybe only liberals believe that black and white people should be treated equally - I am fairly sure that at least 1 or 2 Republicans in the US believe that a white man and a black woman should get the same salary for doing the same job. Or that the black woman should be able to ride at the front of the bus. Not sure how reminding people that not very long ago in large parts of the states that wasn't the case. And since the president gets all his information from TV shows like Fox news - then it is perhaps wise to fight fire with fire and make films that teach some semblance of history to Trump voters - not exactly a high readership group.
