I don't know how many HD DVD adopters use "picture in picture" and "interactivity features" but I buy movies to watch movies. Even if my Blu-ray discs provided those things (and I am pretty sure the PS3 will with future firmware updates--something the writer completely neglects to discuss in his zeal to criticize PS3 picture quality), I dont see myself using it. Do the HD DVD guys use it? I doubt it. How much time do people have? I can't even make it through the bonus features on my BDs. A two-hour movie in 1080p with LPCM is plenty of value for my $20.

The writer talks about BD 2.0 adding networking capability, but I've had my BD player hooked up to the network for months. I'm sure the PS3 isn't the only one that has network connectivity, so essentially the issue is firmware. As we all know, firmware is downloadable and companies frequently issue updates on all manner of products.

This is a total nonissue. The only criticism I've had with these subsequent "versions" of BD is that they've delayed release of several titles I'd be more than happy to own without the added features.
