Pioneer external BluRay drive for PC.

Posted by chris.redmond2@bushinternet.com on March 22, 2008 at 08:53:04:

Just been to PC World in the UK and noticed a Pioneer external "Blu-Ray Disc Player DVD/CD writer", model number BDC-202BK.

Was wondering what the quality would be like if I connected it up to my 42" Panasonic screen with an 8m HDMI from the PC which has a HDMI output.

The price of £90 seems quite reasonable when considering it is also a DVD/CD burner, and it might be a stop-gap option for those of us who aren't prepared to spend megabucks on a dedicated player (or a PS3) yet.

I am of course assuming I can connect to my plasma, and that I will get both video and audio via HDMI?

Best Regards,
Chris redmond.
