Dealer recommends 50 ft HDMI to replace 50 ft DVI cable (and DVI-HDMI adapter).

Claims I'll lose "resolution" (or even signal) because I will need extra DVI/HDMI adapters and will be (trying to feed) 1080p signal instead of 720p signal. I already have an HDMI to DVI adapter on the source player end of DVI cable and was planning on adding the DVI to HDMI adapter on the other end when I replace the aging 720p FP.
Of course, he has just the "quality" 50 ft cable to replace it with for a "nominal fee" when I buy the new FP....
So how far does this peg the BS meter ?
