Having had DISH HD service for 4 years and switching to U-Verse in Feb of this year

Posted by Road Warrior on November 30, 2011 at 08:03:18:

I've got some, uhhh, pretty strong opinions.

When my 1 year commitmment is up in Feb. 2012 I'll definitely do the switch back to DISH.

U-Verse problems:

Picture not as good. No doubt about that. Still a "nice" hd piccy but not up to satellite standard.

Service interruptions galore. I can't tell you how many times I've had to reboot the router, unplug the cable box and let it reboot, etc., to correct picture freezing problems, or temporary lost service problems. If I have zero problems between now and feb. I still will have had maybe 10 times as many problems as I had in a typical DISH year.

The only reason I dropped DISH was that bundled service thru U-Verse (phone, Internet, TV) was cheaper, by quite a bit, than using DISH for TV and U-Verse or someone else for internet and Phone.
