I was driving bright loudspeakers with a customer-grade class-D amplifier, so music hadn't faired too well at all. Watching movies, it's OK. So the loudspeakers and the amplifier may go. However, I was wondering whether it is useful to keep around the decoding functionality for the limited use I would put it to.
I see a lot of well priced, used 5.1 integrated amplifiers for sale (even 7.1), but I only need two channels IMO. I also see a lot of just audio processors with antiquated video switching. I wonder if they would do the job for some ultimate audio flexibility?
