Do I have the oldest daily used TV on planet earth?

OK, maybe not. 22 years is pretty old though...
Although I started with stereo stuff around 1979, my first TV was bought in 1990. I still have the bill! A couple weeks ago we found a smoking hot deal on a 37" LCD for our bedroom, so my trusted and still amazing picture Hitachi TE8700 goes in a garage sale tomorrow morning (and the unwanted big stand in the dump.
Kinda weird, almost unsettling. It's been a daily user for probably 18 or more of the 22 years! First my main TV for many, then our bedroom TV. Only a few in there where it sat in the basement un-used and seriously dusty. Then back as our bedroom TV for the last 8-10 years. Crazy how dependable this thing is. Never a problem with TV or remote and the picture seriously looks amazing still.
Bye TV. :(
27" Hitachi CRT in 1990: $990
37" RCA LCD in 2012: $298
Maybe what, $5 I'll get?
