What to do about old TV
Posted by erpauls@erp-home.com on February 11, 2014 at 11:20:45:
I have an old Mits 65"DLP Diamond series in the basement HT room. Poor thing doesn't have DVI or HDMI. My integra preamp has full compliment of HDMI. While on occasion we will watch a movie down there I mostly watch upstairs on that 65" TV which is barely a year old. Mostly the kids play X-Box and watch their shows on it.
I was originally thinking to go with a front projection when it was time to replace but now not so sure.
I definitely don't want to go down in size but want to use HDMI. I know they have the 4k TVs out but there is little to no content at this time and they still carry a pretty heafty price tag.
I guess I am looking for something that will let me take advantage of todays tech and last me 5 years or so that won't break the bank.
Any suggestions?
