problem with Samsung 46 " LED TV
Posted by Duomike on January 5, 2015 at 18:23:28:
Hi!
Already 2 times my screen had some strange lines on it. First time 2 very thin horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen. Luckily at that time Samsung replaced under warranty.
Recently I was away for a week and when I came home and switched on the TV it had 2 more than 1" wide vertical lines on it's screen plus many thin lines.
Wondering what the cause can be. Here it's the rainy season now with occasional thunder storms. I always unplug my system and TV from power when not in use.
Can lightening damage a screen even when it is unplugged from power? A friend told me that during my absence we had heavy thunderstorms in my area. Or are the quality of samsung panels not that good?
Samsung service here offered me around 50% of the price of what I paid for the TV 3 years ago to replace the panel. No thanks. Will get a new one bot probably not a Samsung anymore.
Anyone had similar problems with Samsung or brand TV ?
regards
Michael
