Suspect HDMI cables???
Posted by murali on February 23, 2015 at 04:22:42:
System: Oppo BDP-93, Marantz surround processor, Pioneer Kuro TV, video connected through Wireworld silver HDMI cables.
Whenever I play a DVD or blu-ray disc, I can see some green lines not visible in bright scenes but evident when the scene has a dark background. They are like thin threads or waves floating around images, sometimes linear, sometimes curving around. My TV service guy claims it could be problems associated with the HDMI cables but without some concrete evidence or similar experiences, I am a bit reluctant to buy and try another HDMI cable(s). These are not like purple patches, one I already have on a small scale in a Panasonic plasm TV I have which certainly is an issue with the plasma. But in the Pioneer setup, with the Kuro display panel and its control box separate, I am unable to judge.
Any similar experiences to share. please?
Thanks in advance.
