Speaking in general, and re hardware: it's very common for the HDMI ports on displays to share electronics *in pairs*. So they fail in pairs. This is actually commonly used as an indicator that it's likely a hardware problem i.e. two HDMI ports failing in the same way simultaneously (settings would not cause that, they're applied individually).

Hope it's not that, but your display is new enough and of a brand that getting parts/repairs is at least an option, not everybody is so lucky...and any relatively recent Panny plasma is worth keeping going IMO.
