Help with hook up: blu ray, tv and audio out

Posted by Olde Bulldogge on November 14, 2016 at 17:55:44:

My current hook up is: hdmi out from oppo bdp 105 into tv. HDMI out from directv box into tv and analog audio out from tv to 2 channel system. I would prefer to use the analog audio out from the oppo. I have a new flat panel on the way with audio return. Can I go directv box via hdmi into the oppo, oppo out via hdmi to tv and the audio return channel will send tv audio back to oppo so I can use the analog audio out ?

I can only have one set audio out to my two channel system, so please don't suggest two sets of outputs; one from tv and one from oppo.

In the current set up I haven't noticed a loss in sound running from the tv outs, I can always keep that setup but then I always have to put tv on when listening to sacd, blu Ray audio, etc. thanks for help.
