Optical volume from TV....

Posted by ABliss on December 15, 2023 at 09:45:34:

Has anyone here figured out a way to increase the volume of the optical output coming from a TV, going into your dac/preamp. So to make it more equal to the other sources.
I have tried most of those little converters from Amazon that claim to have adjustable volume, but all they do is attenuate what is coming from the TV, not increasing it.
I even had a expensive preamp a few years ago that could adjust for the difference in sources, but still didn't work too well.
Just a pita to have to remember to lower the volume when going from TV to another source.
