Oh, the craziness. The Captain is a time-traveling, planet-hopping person with a heart of gold. She was a pilot on Earth under the command of Annette Bening who was developing a technology that would help their home planet in their war with another race of aliens. In Larson's present, she is a commando serving under Jude Law who is out to protect their planet. (Law just gets better and better.) There is so much planet-hopping that I needed my nurse to keep me straight on the action. (Just kidding.)
It was a very busy 123 minutes. If you haven't seen this one yet, it might not hurt.
4.0 wonks for casting, story, and EFFECTS
1.0 wank for being a tad too long

Oh, and what a girl! She was in my home town filming but never called.

I like that kind of keeping it real thing. Jude continues to do well in his newer personas as bad guys.
Like some of the Avenger series, its another based on a nondescript, universe-changing, limitless power that no one understands, can describe, or knows how to dispose of.
Why are they always captains? If this one hooked up with the Avengers (all Stan Lee creations), she would have more power than all the others combined. Can't happen story wise, so maybe that's why she left for an off-world quest.
Good flick. I read that Brie Larson spent months turning into a jock for this.
...guess it depends on your definition of "hooked up", but it seems that the good captain will be a significant part of Avengers End Game if Easter eggs in Infinity War and CM are any indication.
How zeitgeisty!
