I was a true fan of hers all through out her career. She could do it all... act, sing and dance and was a great humanitarian and lover of animals. One of my favorite movies of hers was Midnight Lace co-starring Rex Harrison. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it....
Follow Ups:
My fave was "That Touch of Mink." Yes, an empty-headed romantic comedy, but it didn't seem so with Cary Grant and Doris Day, with the inimitable Gig Young as side man.
not only was it a Doris Day movie but a Cary Grant movie as well who is one of my very favorite actors ( I just watched The Bishop's Wife yesterday!). I am also a fan of the Doris Day / James Garner films as well... Probably more so than the Doris Day / Rock Hudson films.... She was one of a kind. Her Christmas album is ALWAYS playing at my house every holiday season!
You may have heard the rumors about Sly Stone and Doris Day getting married. If not, Google it.
