Films/DVD Asylum

...is one of my favorite rock'n'roll flicks (with all the cool folks from "1941"). anyone know why it hasn't, as far as i can discover, been released on dvd? i'd think any remotely major general release film associated with the beatles ought to be, by now. especially a comedy with such widespread appeal as this one...

also, i keep getting ad's in email offering a gizmo that will transfer dvd to cd-rom (divx, etc. formats). i've no doubt that it probably works, but to what degree, and how difficult is it to use correctly by an average, digitaly-challenged twerp like me? i write enough audio coasters as it is, and i ain't got jacko's wacko bucks to waste on more blank discs by any means, you dig.
