Oscar-winning actor Charlton Heston, one of America's leading advocates for the right to own guns, said on Friday that he is suffering from a neurological disorder consistent with Alzheimer's disease but vowed not "to give up."

It's a debilitating disease. I'm sure most of us have some personal experience with it, with our loved ones.Sad, especially in Heston's case, as he seems an especially vital and active person in his older years.
